Heatherton World of Activities

Heatherton World of Activities had so many new activities that the girls had never done before, so we left with a few new obsessions. We loved this place.

How it works is that it’s free to enter and then you buy credits. We got a family pass of 40 credits for £99.95 which we could share between us. This was also great as you have 6 months to use it. So you can come over a few different days, doing a few activities at a time. Individual passes start at £16.50 for 6 credits. Most rides are one or two credits.

It’s open all year round and has plenty to do in both dry and wet weather. We came on a sunny, dry day so everything was available, although hard to choose which to do as all so good.

We started with the junior go karts, which were definitely one of our favourites of the day and went on twice. Both times, there wasn’t much of a wait time. The girls got kitted up with their overalls and helmet and got in their cars on the startline. My 8 years surprised me with how she took to it so naturally. They both really enjoyed this. The track was big and wide, so you could have a really good go at driving and overtaking.

Another favourite was the Pembrokeshire Raceway, which is a massive indoor scaletrix with 8 cars racing against each other for 6 minutes. It was really fun watching the cars tumble off the track if going too fast on the corners.

•Archery – you got 6 practice arrows and then 6 proper shots to see if you can make it on the scoreboard

• Water Wars – 1 credit gets you 10 balloons to fill with water. Then load them into the slingshot and fire them at your opponents. Warning! You will get wet if they have a good aim. Taps didnt work that well but luckily no one else was waiting to play.

•Inflatable slide – always a winner, climb up the stairs, and fling yourself down the massive bouncy slide. You got 6 minutes on this.

• Zip wire and leap of faith. My eldest got harnessed up. There is a big wooden tower you climb up. Once at the top ,you can either take a big breath and jump off or clip onto a long zipwire.

• Bumper Boats – just 1 credit per boat which can fit 2 people in makes this a bargain activity.Inflatable boat but with a proper petrol engine. Really fun to bump into other boats and fun to steer as can end up spinning around lots.

There is plenty we didn’t have time or credits to go on which included the adventure golf, bouncing pillows, maize maze, indoor soft play, baseball, water zorbs & dragon slide.

Food wise there are a few different cafes or food stalls around the site, all of them have a good choice of hot food and drinks. Plenty of seating, some of which is under cover.

There is also an escape room, treetop trail and paintballing which can be booked as a seperate activities which are not part of the credit activities.

We used all our credits in one day but that was as we were in Tenby on holiday. If we lived local i would definitely concider a larger credit pass to use over plenty of days. There are arcades and an outdoor play which is free to use too. Also the credit system means its free for an adult if they dont do any activities so friends and family can come and watch for free.

It really did make a perfect adventurous family day out.
