We visited for the family beach area, which has sun beds to hire and parasols. You can swim in the lake from the beach and there is blowup pontoon to swim to. All swimmers have to wear a lifejacket that you are given when you arrive at the beach entrance. They have children ones too.

George loved splashing about in the water and swimming across to the pontoon. The beach is sand but it is a bit gravelly, it’s still good for making sandcastles! You can book this online, and adult ticket is £10, a children’s ticket is £5 (Sep 23)  There is a bar and café serving hot and cold food.

For the bigger kids and adults, The Aqua Park looks like a lot of fun. The inflatable obstacle course for ages 6 years plus and sit out son the lake.   Run, scramble, bounce and leap, it’s like a big kids soft play on water!
